Port Leucate, THE beach for families !

What a pleasure to be able to go to the beach on afoot, with the children on bicycles or scooters, along the many pedestrian walkways leading to the beach, in the shade of the flowering oleanders and the plane trees! The seafront is entirely pedestrian, ideal for walks with a view of the sea !

First of all you will have to choose your beach! The Kyklos, a lively central beach, Aqualand for the natural side, Les Carrats for the view of the Pontoon and the Miroir d’Eau…

To occupy the days of beach in Port Leucate, fill up with water activities; jet ski, flyboard, towed buoy for the sensations (from 6 years), boat trip to see Port Leucate from the Mediterranean or scuba diving, but also many sports activities on the beach and of course for a little snack, a deckchair or a drink with your feet in the sand: the beach clubsof Port Leucate are there!

Kyklos Beach

The beach of Port Leucate will seem endless! More than 8km of fine white sand with the Mediterranean in sight, to the north the imposing cliffs of Leucate and to the south the Albères mountain range, on the other side is Spain!

Here at Kyklos, under the pergola, between the palm trees or sitting on the Gaudi-style benches, you can already see the white sand, the turquoise sea, you are there!

On site, all amenities within easy reach: free parking, toilets, Le Kyklos first aid post, bar, restaurants…

Full of activities

On holiday in Port Leucate with friends or family, or even for a romantic weekend, there is never a dull moment!

Summer is the perfect time to get caught up in the excitement and try out the thrills! Jet ski, towed buoy, flyboard, what a way to take off, have fun and go for it on the Mediterranean!

Do you want to enjoy the fresh air? Rent a paddle or a boat without licence but also embark on one of the pleasure boat of Leucate to discover the coast from the sea or enjoy a sunset on the Anse du Paradis and the Sorcière…

Want to see what happens underwater? Try scuba diving! The waters at the foot of the cliff are transparent and populated by hundreds of species of fish!

Beaches of Miroir d’Eau / Le Ponton

When you arrive, you will first see the Miroir d’eau, the basin in which the Pontoon, the sky, the sun and sometimes the clouds are reflected. At the end of the wooden walkway, the Pontoon, a sort of derrick in the middle of the sea: THE place to be for sunrises and to observe the coast of Leucate.

Another supervised fine sandy beach, bordered by dunes and ganivelles. The beach extends to the dyke at the exit of Leucate harbour and is perfectly suited to children who can play and enjoy this wide strip of sand and a shallow swimming area!

On site, all amenities within easy reach: large free car park, WC, Les Carrats first aid post, beach club, supermarket…

The beach clubs of Port Leucate

Once again, the hardest part will be choosing between the 3 beach clubs in Port Leucate!

To dream in front of the Grande Bleue on a deckchair, hire a paddle or enjoy a family meal in the shade with your feet in the sand, the private beaches of Port Leucate :

Aqualand beach in nature mode

This is the southernmost beach of Port Leucate, on the border with Le Barcarès, just opposite the Casino Circus de Port Leucate, the Aqualand water park and the theme park.

For lovers of natural beaches, bordered by dunes, unsupervised. See you at Jessica’s straw hut Le Baobab for a drink by the sea or rent a SUP.

When the wind is blowing, it’s the place to be for local riders!
