Concert Eglise de Leucate Village - Canticel Chants du Ciel

Sunday March 17 at 4 p.m., in the beautiful Notre-Dame de l'Assomption church in the village of Leucate, to open their spring tour, the two artists from Canticel return to celebrate the arrival of spring in music.


The rare and deep voice of contralto Catherine Dagois and the virtuoso organist Edgar Teufel offer you their “Songs of the Soul” mixing the fervor of sacred music and the passion of lyrical art like the Libera Me from the famous Requiem of Fauré, surprising gems including a Spiritual duet because Edgar also has a very beautiful bass voice and a Chant à Marie designed especially for Canticel by Paul Szafran. Canticel first fascinates with its high-quality sound where voice and organ blend together in perfect harmony. But more than anything, the two artists in perfect harmony know how to move and keep their audience in suspense, always presenting warm, lively and high-quality programs.Together intensely they have experienced to date more than a thousand concerts on tour in 25 countries and on four continents, in the most prestigious cities, cathedrals and philharmonies in Europe, Asia, America and recorded nearly around twenty records.
