From September 15 to October 11, Science is celebrated in Leucate!
The Science Festival is a free, popular event that celebrates science, technology, and innovation across the country. It is open to all audiences and helps promote the sharing of knowledge between scientists and citizens.
This year, the Science Festival explores all forms of intelligence and rethinks what it means to be intelligent, beyond human boundaries.
EXHIBITIONS
- Red, Green or Brown, the secret of marine algae with the Friends of the Thau Museum
An exhibition based on a seaweed bed with around forty plates on display at the Thau Lagoon Museum. Through these secrets, visitors will discover the pond's plant world, with its colors, shapes, and diversity. They will immerse themselves in the multiple uses and benefits of seaweed.

EARTH DAY
Earth and Lagoon Day - Intelligence in Nature: Lectures and debates for the general public on studies conducted on the natural environments around the Salses-Leucate pond with the aim of making this knowledge accessible to all. Following the presentations, a time for discussion with the public is reserved, with the RIVAGE Syndicate.

SCIENCE WORKSHOP
10:30 a.m. - Animal Intelligence with Les Petits Débrouillards
Test yourself on challenges and observe how animals cope. You will discover that there are several forms of intelligence. Duration: 1h30 / from 7 to 13 years old
2 p.m. - Digital intelligence AI with Les Petits Débrouillards
Understand how an algorithm works, how an AI generates images or text, using games and experimentation.
