Access, parking, parking

At Leucate Plage, Port Leucate and La Franqui you will find, 2 steps from the beach, free parking for safe parking. As Port Leucate’s seafront is so pedestrianised, the car parks are a little set back from the beach but still at a very reasonable distance and accessible by footpaths. Venir à la plage à Leucate

Security, beach surveillance, WC...

There are 10 first aid posts à Leucate, open in season: 4 à Port Leucate, 1 at the Naturist Villages, 3 à Leucate Plage and 2 à La Franqui. Access to the aid posts is via mats and near each post you’ll find accessible toilets.

Adapted beaches with children

Beach with the family, the tribe, friends… welcome to paradise!!! Throughout the summer, sports activities are organised on the beaches of Leucate (beach volleyball, biathlon, beach tennis…). For swimming, Leucate’s beaches have a gentle slope! For the little ones, there are play areas on the seafront (La Franqui, Leucate Plage) and a children’s club to make new friends and have fun! The best part: A day on the beach at La Franqui on the banks of the Grazel (the arm of the river that flows into the sea)! An endless playground for children: very little water, a whole host of wildlife to observe…

Watch out for the Tramontane!

  • Beach totems - Port Leucate

On the beaches of Port Leucate, to help the little ones find their way back to camp on the beach and prevent them getting lost, the first-aid posts are recognisable by a totem in an easy-to-read shape and colour: octopus, sea crab, turtle… How does it work? When you arrive, head for the first-aid post to collect a bracelet corresponding to the nearest totem that your child can show to the lifeguards should he or she ever get lost, making the search easier.
