Between beach and cliff

Leucate Plage is above all a beach bordered by the Leucate cliffs! The only beach sheltered from the prevailing wind: the Tramontane, it offers a sand recognized worldwide as it is the standard sand. At the foot of the cliff, the Briganti beach and its cove for a swim in a unique setting: crystal clear waters and nature as far as the eye can see.

Climb the cliff to discover a unique view: Leucate Plage and its villas, the natural beach of Mouret, the Mediterranean as far as the eye can see, Port Leucate in the distance… From the lighthouse you can follow the cliff edge to La Franqui, by mountain bike or on foot

For a meal with a panoramic view of the Mediterranean Sea, visit the restaurant Le Grand Cap. Well-known restaurant in Leucate, awarded a Michelin star every year. Get ready for a culinary and visual journey!

Family beach

For generations, families have gathered on the beach of Leucate Plage, between the cliff and the Briganti beach and the Galion car park. Hotels, campsites, restaurants, camping car area and beach clubs… everything is done to spend a good time with your family by the sea!

Beach club Les dauphins de Leucate Plage is the a fun multi-sports club for all children from 4 to 13 years old. Children can spend an afternoon, a week or more learning to swim and meeting up with beach friends every year.

Mouret, nature beach

Between the oyster center and the Galion car park (located to the south of Leucate Plage) is the Plage de Mouret. A totally natural beach, with dunes protected by ganivelles.

Nearby, Oyster Hut for a seafood tasting of the pond of Leucate in terrace,the Ranch Desperado for a horse ride on the lagoon !

Which beach club choose?

There is something for everyone at Leucate Plage! For a moment of idleness on the beach with your family, a romantic meal with your feet in the sand, a swimming lesson for the youngest or an evening with friends dancing on the beach, choose your beach club !

From the central beach to the dunes of Mouret, the beach clubs are set up from May to September. 5 in total. In the evening, the lights are dimmed and the sound is turned up, for evenings facing the sea for beautiful moonrises!

Les Dauphins de Leucate Plage This is the place to be for children: games, trampolines, swimming and competitions of all kinds!

Le Poulpe, un amour de plage… Everything is said! A private beach for lounging on a Fatboy, and tasting Katy’s cooking (fresh fish and fresh products), zen in this place far from everything !

Les Pilotis, as its name indicates, it is a straw hut-restaurant on “stilts” on the natural beach of Mouret ! Fresh fish and market cuisine facing the sea.
